Job Description
Responsible for managing all accounting and financial tasks in our hospitality-focused organization. You will ensure that all financial controls are in place and are operating effectively. You will also take charge of preparing and evaluating financial forecasts, setting financial targets, and tracking and reporting on the progress of the hotel's financial performance.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Relevant work experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of financial principles, practices, and procedures.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Understanding of hospitality or hotel operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee and review all company financial policies, procedures, and record-keeping and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to ensure financial stability and growth.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Analyze financial trends and performance and provide strategic recommendations for improvement.
- Analyze and monitor the hotel's operating budgets.
- Monitor the customer credit and collections process.
- Ensure accuracy of hotel revenue reporting.
- Manage and reconcile bank accounts.
- Oversee and manage inventory and cost control processes.
- Develop and administer payroll and other financial processes.
- Liaise and coordinate with auditors on all financial matters.
- Analyze and interpret complex financial data and documents.
- Handle any other relevant financial tasks or projects.
